SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
& SOCIETAL ISSUES

Singapore is a small country with a population of 5.6 million people, but it has a large impact on the world. It is a leader in economic development, technological innovation, and social progress. Despite its success, Singapore faces many challenges in terms of social enterprise and societal issues.

Social Enterprise and Societal Issues :
An Insight to the Social Enterprise in Singapore

Social enterprises are businesses that aim to create social impact while also generating revenue. In Singapore, social enterprises have been gaining popularity in recent years as people become more aware of the importance of addressing social and environmental issues. The Singapore government has been actively supporting the growth of social enterprises through various initiatives such as funding schemes, training programs, and networking events. There are many different types of social enterprises in Singapore, ranging from those that focus on providing employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups to those that address environmental issues through sustainable practices.

This programme will discuss the various social enterprise initiatives that have been implemented in Singapore, as well as the challenges that remain.

This program is ideal for individuals or schools, both local and international, who wish to discover more about the social enterprise scene in Singapore.

(Note that final agenda, list of participating companies and activities is subject to change and will be determined for each individual program.)
