Innovation in Entrepreneurship & Startups :
An Insight to Startups & Founders Exposure Program

Entrepreneurship is ​gaining popularity among young millennials, who are comfortable with taking risks and aspire to solve some of the world's biggest problems. However, indulging in a great idea is only the beginning. What else does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? How do we even measure what a successful entrepreneur is?

This program aims to provide a comprehensive overview to the entrepreneurship journey in Singapore. At the same time, it is also an encouragement to the next generation on what is truly possible for the future. Immerse yourself into our ecosystem of entrepreneurship, and be inspired to leave a big impact in your home, your community and the world.

This program is ideal for individuals or schools, both local and international, who wish to discover more about Singapore's Startup Ecosystem and the significant role entrepreneurs play in the country's economy.

Compromising the basic elements of a startup, learn about how this mixed-used development began, and more significantly, how it continues to pivot, adapt and innovate to stay relevant with current technological trends.

JTC LaunchPad

Known as the "Silicon Valley" of Singapore, JTC LaunchPad provides startups with a conducive space to innovate. Immerse yourself into this habitat of entrepreneurship and explore various cutting-edge prototypes that were launched from this hotbed.

10:30 am - 11:00 am

Meet with an Ecosystem Builder

Meet with the team at Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE), the national voice for the Singapore startup ecosystem, and a key trade association for startup. A non-profit organization that supports entrepreneurs in Singapore, seeking to build a dynamic and sustainable startup ecosystem in Singapore, focusing on five key pillars: Startups, Corporations, Institutes of Higher Learning, Risk Capital, and the Public Sector. Have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with ACE’s team.

Entrepreneurship Design Thinking Workshop (By Reactor School)

Whether you are a risk-taking founder seeking top-line growth, a social entrepreneur raising funds for a non-profit, or someone simply looking to disrupt an existing norm, being able to identify problems and develop impact solutions will propel you towards achieving your goals.

 

In this workshop, you will be introduced to the concept of Design Thinking and its importance in relation to problem solving and entrepreneurship. You will also participate in the Know Your Customer interactive simulation by going through all 5 stages of the Design Thinking Process: Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test.

 

At the end of the workshop, you will critically think and reflect upon how the Design Thinking process could benefit you in the context of your lives.
